Lungarotti
Italy | Umbria
A small, family-run farm and winery in Barge
Founded by Giorgio Lungarotti, pioneer of modern Italian oenology, the company today continues its path focused on quality production and sustainability, thanks to the commitment, passion and knowledge of his daughters Chiara and Teresa, supported by their mother Maria Grazia, and by the children of Teresa: Francesco and Gemma.
Giorgio and Maria Grazia helped found the Wine Museum of Torgiano (MUVIT) and the Olive and Oil Museum (MOO) in Torgiano, which highlight the cultural heritage of agriculture in Italy.
At the forefront of environmental protection, they operate using sustainable viticulture practices to grow the best quality grapes without stressing the plant or the soil, together with the defense of the environment, not using neither chemical fertilizers nor herbicides.
