Domaine Jean-Louis CHAVE is a family-owned winery. It has been passed from father to son since 1481. The Domaine is currently under the direction of Jean-Louis CHAVE and his father, Gérard CHAVE. It consists of parcels in the appellations of Hermitage and St Joseph.

granite, loess, puddingstone, glacial Moraine stones, clayey limestone, clayey sandstone

Harvest: and Vinification :
The harvest usually takes place in late September. The grapes are hand picked parcel by parcel in order to retain the character
of each soil type. They are then vinified and aged separately until the final blend is made.
